Alain Ducasse Education-Ensp Training at France's Most Famous Pastry School

Yeditepe University's Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department that carries the distinction of being Turkey's first Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department has signed an agreement with Alain Ducasse Education-ENSP, the world-famous pastry school in France.

Under this agreement Yeditepe University students who meet the required conditions will travel to France and take 140 hours of training within the scope of a specially designed programme by Alain Ducasse Education-ENSP for Yeditpe Univrsity students and after completing the training programme do their internship for a month in France or in another country with which Alain Ducasse Education has an agreement.

Students who successfully complete the programme will also be eligible to receive the Alain Ducasse Education certificate. By this means, students of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts of Yeditepe will achieve an important advantage for their careers by gaining experience in the international field.

Agreement with UNESCO's “Food, Culture And Development” chair represented by Spain's Universitat Oberta De Catalunya (Uoc)

By virtue of this agreement, Yeditepe University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department.has become the official partner of UNESCO / UNITWIN "Food, Culture and Development" Chair Program

The UNESCO / UNITWIN Chair program, established in 1992 within the UNESCO framework, supports international collaborations between universities and scientific activities.

Yeditepe University Faculty of Fine Arts Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts on January 29, 2015 .signed an agreement with the chair of UNESCO "Preservation and Promotion of Food Culture Heritage" represented by François Rabelais Tours University.

Our department has the distinction of being the first and only one of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts admitted as a joint department of UNESCO / UNITWIN in the mentioned fields in Turkey. Under the framework of UNESCO / UNITWIN agreements, our department will actively participate in projects on Gastronomy and Food Culture heritage for preservation and development and transfer to future generations and propose projects within the specified scope.

As UNESCO / UNITWIN Chair's official representative of Turkey lt will organize scientific seminars, conferences and events. As a result, the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts of Yeditepe University, established in 2003, will make an important contribution to the protection and promotion of Turkish Cuisine Culture on national and international platforms.

Moreover, this agreement will also provide international internship opportunities to students of Yeditepe University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts department within the UNESCO/UNITWIN Chair program framework and take part in national and international scientific projects, seminars, conferences and other events planned in the field of the Turkish Cuisine Cultural Heritage.

GOOGLE ARTS AND CULTURE 

Yeditepe University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department is the only official partner in Turkey of "Google Arts and Culture", the world's largest art and culture platform that includes cultural art works of cultural institutions on its page. Within the scope of this platform, all regions of Turkey were presented to the world on the page with a focus on science, art and culture.

UNIVERSITIES FIGHTING WORLD HUNGER

Yeditepe University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department is the only member from Turkey of the Universities Fighting World Hunger Organization which organizes events and was established by Auburn University and United Nations to draw attention to hunger in the world.

PUSH

Presidents Unite to Solve Hunger (PUSH) is a consortium with a shared mission to ensure food safety on university campuses around the world. In this context, the PUSH contract signed by more than a hundred managers in six continents was signed by our Rector Prof. Dr. Signed by Canan AYKUT BINGOL. In this context, our school has become a part of this multi-sectoral, growing global network.

BOSTON UNIVERSITY

Our department has an agreement with Boston University, one of the world's most powerful gastronomy programs in the United States, which provides our graduates with the opportunity to pursue a master's degree without an exam. Within the scope of this agreement, Yeditepe University's graduates from the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts department, who meet the graduation average requirement, will be granted the opportunity to study at Boston University in the BU MET Gastronomy Master's Program (Master of Liberal Arts in Gastronomy) without taking the foreign language exams required for international students. By participating in Boston University's program under this agreement, our graduates will not only enhance their vision but also have the chance to promote Turkish cuisine on an international academic platform.
