Nazlı Pektaş (born 1975, Edremit) is an art historian, curator, and critic. She completed her undergraduate studies in the Department of Art History at Mimar Sinan University in 1998, her master's degree in the Department of Ceramics-Glass at Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2008, and her proficiency in art at Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting in 2013. Currently, Pektaş teaches as an instructor at Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts and also serves as an instructor at Yeditepe University Faculty of Fine Arts.
As an art historian and critic, Nazlı Pektaş's articles have been published and continue to be published in various art journals such as Art Dünyamız (YKY), Art Unlimited, Artful Living, Argonotlar, Cumhuriyet Gazetesi, and various exhibition catalogs. Her weekly writings are featured in the column "Temas/Yorum" in the newspaper Oksijen O2.
Pektaş has authored several books, including "Bellek / Emek" published by Yapı Kredi Yayınları (YKY) in 2017, which comprises interviews with influential figures in Turkish art and culture. She is also the author of "Bir Seyyahın Resimli Güncesi Muhsin Kut" (2017) published by İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları. Her writings are featured in various other books such as "İmgenin Zamanı: Sanat, Hafıza, Direniş" (2018) published by Corpus Yayınları and "Cinsiyeti Yazmak" (2016) published by Yapı Kredi Yayınları in the Cogito series.
Additionally, Pektaş continues to curate various exhibitions. Some of the exhibitions she curated include "Gençler Yolda" (co-curated) at AKM in 2022, "Video’daki Manzara" at Cocoon, Contemporary Istanbul Foundation in 2022, "na/mütenahi hürriyet" at Bilsart in February 2021, "İntihal mi?/ Hal mi?" at Yapı Kredi Kültür Sanat in 2018, and "A4" at Marmara University Republic Museum and Art Gallery in 2017.
Nazlı Pektaş also conducts seminars, lecture series, and organizes exhibitions at various cultural and art institutions. She is a member of the International Association of Art Critics (Aica Turkey).
