Yeditepe University Department of Digital Game Design welcomes its first students in the 2026–2027 academic year. Offered within the Faculty of Art and Design, this four-year bachelor's degree program admits 25 students through full scholarships and 50% scholarships.
The curriculum brings together game design, game programming, 2D and 3D visual production, environment design, narrative design, sound design, user experience (UI/UX), and game culture within an interdisciplinary educational framework. Students gain both creative and technical expertise while exploring the artistic, technological, and cultural dimensions of digital game development.
The Faculty of Art and Design at Yeditepe University aims to educate students beyond technical proficiency. Its educational philosophy embraces a holistic approach that integrates art, social sciences, and interdisciplinary thinking.
Our goal is clear: to educate creative individuals who think critically, possess strong intellectual curiosity, and approach design with cultural awareness.
Learning at our faculty extends beyond the classroom. Interdisciplinary projects, collaborative activities, and social engagement encourage students to explore diverse perspectives. As a result, students become part of a culture that values inquiry, lifelong learning, and continuous personal development while strengthening both their professional competencies and their social and cultural awareness.
The Department of Digital Game Design adopts this philosophy by combining art with game development, simulation, and emerging media technologies through an interdisciplinary curriculum.
Our objective is not simply to educate technically skilled game designers. We aim to develop designers who think like artists—individuals who observe, question, draw inspiration from multiple disciplines, and transform creative ideas into original digital experiences.
Students graduate with the ability to use cutting-edge technologies effectively, reinterpret them through creative thinking, and produce innovative work across a wide range of digital media.
Throughout the four-year program, students receive comprehensive education in the following areas:
These areas are not taught as isolated subjects but as interconnected components of a comprehensive educational experience. Students combine technical expertise with artistic production while developing aesthetic sensitivity, innovation, and the ability to design meaningful, functional, and user-centered digital experiences.
The Department of Digital Game Design prepares students for the rapidly evolving game industry while fostering the creative vision and interdisciplinary perspective needed to shape the future of interactive media.
Graduates develop the ability to:
Beyond technical expertise, our graduates understand the social and cultural impact of digital games. They enter the industry as ethical, critically minded designers who contribute responsibly to the development of games and interactive experiences.
