“The symposium meets the criteria for Associate Professorship.”
Advancing technology, shifting societal dynamics, and evolving aesthetic sensibilities are leading to the emergence of new perspectives in the fields of culture, art, and design. The term “near future” refers to a timeframe spanning the next five to ten years. In this context, assessing the current state of culture, art, and design, and reflecting on what will be needed in the near future is vital for preparing for change and developing innovative and creative solutions.
The international symposium titled "Culture, Art and Design in the Near Future" aims to question how the digital information age affects the creative process of artists and designers, and to open up discussions on future visions, alternative perspectives, and creative solutions.
Bringing together academics from various disciplines, artists, designers, professionals working in creative industries, and art enthusiasts, this symposium aims to foster a collective outlook on the future.
