Hatice Utkan Özden

Graduated from Tarsus American Collage and later Bilkent University, Translation and Interpretation in English and in French Hatice Utkan Özden has worked in newspapers and art magazines, translated short stories, books and texts from both in English and French. She has completed her MA at Istanbul University Museum Studies in 2019 with her thesis titled Usage of Internet Channels in Art Museums.
Between 2008 and 2009, she has completed credits in City University evening courses on Writer’s Workshop, (Beginner Creative Writing) and Journalism. She has worked in Sabah, Hürriyet and Hürriyet Daily News as an art correspondent and editor between 2005 and 2013. After being arts and culture editor at Hürriyet Daily News she has worked as an editor in chief for CI Mag. She has given Writing about art courses at Yeditepe University and her courses still continues at the university. She is writing both in English and Turkish for various art magazines. She has completed Advanced Creative Writing online courses program at Oxford University. Utkan Özden also studies Philosophy at Istanbul University. She broadcasts on Internet for Medyascope. Her book titled Contemporary Art and Creativity published in 2021 gathering 34 contemporary artists whom she has interviewed within 20 years of her writing career.
