Course Objectives: 
The aim of the course is to make students knowledgeable about fundamental concepts of theatre, its history and its management. In this context, students will be introduced not only to the history of theatre, but also to issues related to the variable nature of theatre management from its beginning to the present day.
Course Content: 

1) Definition of performing arts.

2) Drama as it relates to the performing arts.

3) The functions of drama in societies.

4) History of Performance art
