Course Objectives: 
The aim of the course is to investigate the growing field of Performance Art as both a scholarly discourse and practice. Deriving analytical tools from theatrical concepts and combining them with other methodological approaches to understanding (such as anthropology, ethnography, sociology) the class pursues the production of cultural meanings, values and identities from an embodied perspective.
Course Content: 

Developments in Performance Art in the twentieth and twenty-first century will be evaluated in the light of discussions of Performance Studies discipline. Performances will be watched. Theater and performance venues will be visited and interviews will be held about their management.

Course Methodology:
