Course Objectives:
Documentation and archiving in art and culture relate to the process of documenting and storing documents and visual archives of artists, galleries, museums and collections under appropriate conditions. How to archive the data, how to digitize it, how to decide under which conditions the concrete files should be stored, how to set up a numbering system while adding it to the archive, how to ensure the conditions of the physical warehouse where the data will be stored and the question of the digital environment conditions will be discussed in the course.
Course Content:
The development of the concept of knowledge in the civilization process and the increasing production of documents in parallel with the importance given to knowledge will reveal the necessity of managing both documents and information. After these processes are explained in the course, art as a documentation area and the information centers it has created (museum, gallery, art archives)
It will be examined.
