Course Objectives: 
To examine the basic concepts of art and art history, art history terminology, art works starting from prehistoric periods and the social and cultural structure of the periods in which the works were made in the light of east and west comparison.
Course Content: 

It creates an understanding of the development of art history by examining the formal and conceptual transformations in art from prehistoric times to the 19th century understanding of reality. Important artists, periods and movements influencing the development of art; will be analyzed through visuals and texts.
