Course Objectives: 
The graduate candidate, who is in the last period of his four-year undergraduate art education, uses his artistic knowledge, skills and all his experience to create an original work and organize an exhibition based on this work. To experience the artistic production and presentation stages after graduation. It is aimed for the graduate candidate to measure and evaluate himself about thinking like an artist.
Course Content: 

In the project-oriented course,

The student is asked to determine the subject he will work on for the diploma project (Concept).

The text written about the concept he has determined, the file describing the process of his work and the project draft are presented to the jury determined by the department board and the student starts the project work

COURSE CONTENT

1 Information about the process and program of the course is given.

The "Concept" announced at the end of the term and desired to be determined between the term is presented in the Contemporary Art Workshop II Course.

They are asked to prepare the process map of their preparations for the next week (regularly every week) until the next day of the lesson and share it to the lecturer via e-mail or digital common platforms.

On the concept - THEORETICAL RESEARCH-READING and TEXT CREATION work begins.

 

 
2 It is monitored whether the graduate candidate adheres to the process map (weekly work schedule) determined by him. Their research on the concept is followed. Each student presents his / her research on the process map.

They are asked to prepare the process map of their preparations for the next week (regularly every week) until the next day of the lesson and to share the course with the lecturer via e-mail or digital common platforms.

About the concept THEORETICAL RESEARCH-READING and CREATING TEXT and VISUAL MATERIAL COLLECTION for the PROJECT begins.

 
3 The process map of the graduate candidate is followed. He is listened to what he adds to the work plan or whether he follows it. Weekly work and readings are listened to.

They are asked to prepare the process map of their preparations for the next week (regularly every week) until the next day of the lesson and share it to the lecturer via e-mail or digital common platforms.

4 The plans for collecting visual material are added to the process map of their preparations for the next week (regularly every week) until the next day of the lesson and the lecturer is asked to share the lecture on common platforms via e-mail or digital.

The next stage of the concept - THE PROJECT FILE HAS BEEN SUBMITTED TO THE JURY

-PROJECT FILE: Project text + project visual materials + Project Sketches + Model of the Project

 
5 Upon the recommendation of the lecturer of the course, the graduate candidates make project proposals to the jury determined by the department board. The results are announced as a result of the decisions of the jury and the lecturer of the course.

Students whose projects are not accepted or whose projects are requested to be corrected submit their proposals to the lecturer of the course until the 7th week (within two weeks. The jury is not held for the second time).

 
6 Students whose projects are approved present the study and implementation plan of their projects to the lecturer of the course and start working.

Work Plan: Material usage + Space Usage + Budget + Surface or area preference + Time Management + Preparation of the workspace is multilingual

 
7 Midterm Exam(The Midterm Exam file is prepared both in English and Turkish.)

Post-jury work plans

presents it as a powerpoint to the lecturers of the course and other students who take the course. The presentation is evaluated by each student and the lecturer of the course in an evaluation form, whose stages and criteria have been previously distributed to the students. The visa grade of the candidate student is determined by taking the arithmetic average of the evaluations within the framework of the specified rates.

 
8 As of the third month, the candidate is left alone with his project and work. Their work is followed regularly and the candidate submits the weekly study report to the lecturer of the course via the relevant platforms.

The arithmetic average of the evaluations within the specified ratios is taken and added to the final grade of the candidate student.
 

The candidate exhibits his works in the place previously announced and presents his project as a powerpoint to the exam jury in an environment open to viewing.

Question and answer stages are passed.

The jury writes the candidate's evaluations about the project on the evaluation form with the criteria given to them and submits them to the lecturer of the course.

The final grade is determined by taking the arithmetic average of the student's midterm grade, the evaluation grade made by other candidates who have taken the same course, and the grade given by the instructor of the course.

The candidate submits the "graduation project report" prepared in the specified format to the department.

The “graduation project report” is not copied and given to the jury members during the exam.
