Course Objectives: 
The aim of this course is to provide the students with the knowledge of basic computer program (Adobe In Design) to make publication graphic design applications.
Course Content: 

In this course, students are taught the Adobe Indesign program or the equivalent publication graphic design program. Students will be introduced to the computer program as a design tool. basic tools, panels, working with multiple pages, object and visual insertion, color and typography control, page layout with rulers and grid system, working with styles, using master features, making ready for printing or digital media, finalizing the design and application in the right format information. It also provides information about document formats and saving features so that they can work in sync with other programs. The students who take this course gain the ability to create graphic design products such as brochures, catalogs, magazines and books that require working with multiple pages for publication graphics.

2 Working with text fields. Calling text files in different formats. Creating templates for page layouts.  
3 Placement of visual images. Arrangement of picture fields.  
4 Create styles for fonts and paragraphs.  
5 Adding page numbers, creating list, footnote and index page.  
6 Create multi-page documents. Anchor feature and flowing texts.  
7 Drawing tools and coloring options.  
8 Mid-term exam (Practical exam in computer lab)  
9 Project: Magazine design. Examination of samples. Layout sketches.  
10 Project: Creating page templates  
11 Project: Placement of text and images
