Course Objectives: 
While preparing students for project courses by providing basic graphic design knowledge to the students, sector-oriented information in the sector.
Course Content: 

In this course, students are introduced to the basic concepts of graphic design in the first half of the semester. Students, graphic elements and the universal rules of graphic composition, point, line, plane, rhythm and balance, size, texture and pattern, color, shape-ground relationship, image semiology and framing, content and hierarchy, layers, transparency, modularity, grid systems learn basic graphic design concepts such as symmetry and asymmetry, diagram, time and motion, rules and irregularity by examining graphic products and examples. Samples of national and international graphic design products are presented and examined. In the second half of the semester, students are introduced to terminology, graphic products and media (posters, brochures, magazine and book covers, spatial graphics, info graphics, advertising graphics (above and below line advertising graphics, advertisement, outdoor, point of sale display materials etc.) Examples will explain the design principles, the function of graphic elements in communication and how to communicate.
