Course Objectives: 
The aim of the course is to provide the students with the ability to examine and analyze the historical development of semiotic criticism, its branches and analysis methods developed by semiotics, and to design the visual signs that make up the world of communication by using graphic expression language.
Course Content: 

Preparing new visual symbols with contemporary design understanding with research studies. Acquiring basic information about the design of signs, pictograms, symbols, emblems and logos informing and guiding the society with new forms and reinforcing them with practices. Historical development of semiotic criticism, its branches and examination of major semiology terminology
